In Vladimir will prepare 40 thousand tons of sand salt mixture to fight snow

The capital of the Vladimir region is completing preparations for the winter season. According to forecasts of weather forecasters, the first precipitation in the form of rain with snow can begin next week – from November 4. Mayor Sergei Volkov reported on the work done and the readiness of city services to combat ice and snowdrifts.

For the operational cleaning of the city on the roads and sidewalks it is planned to bring more than 150 units of equipment: graders, bulldozers, combined road vehicles (KDM), forklifts and dump trucks. This year, the fleet of the Urban Road Management Center has been replenished with nine new cars, and before the beginning of winter it is planned to purchase two more snow loaders.

Utilities have prepared more than 40 thousand tons of sand salt mixture and 50 tons of ice reagent. For the convenience of citizens, the number of boxes of sand at stops has been increased to 243.

Also for employees working in the cold, a modular building for heating and eating was installed at one of the bases.
