Volgorechen inspectors took the keys from a 16-year-old biker

During patrolling the streets of the city, employees of a separate battalion of traffic police stopped the motorcycle to check. A 16-year-old girl was driving the vehicle. She did not have a driver's license of the relevant category.

The girl drove the bike without permission of her parents. She explained that her mother forbade her to ride, so she secretly took the keys to the garage and appliances.

Auto inspectors called in the place of the legal representative – the mother of the girl – and handed over the vehicle under her responsibility.

In respect of the young offender, an administrative protocol was drawn up under Part 1 of Article 12.7 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (“Driving a vehicle by a driver who does not have the right to drive”). The sanction of the article provides for a fine of 5,000 to 15,000 rubles, which will be recovered from the parents.

The traffic police reminds parents of the need for strict control over the keys to vehicles to avoid tragic consequences.
