For a week on the roads of the Kaliningrad region killed two people

Since the beginning of 2026 in the Kaliningrad region there were 787 accidents in which people suffered. 72 people died and another 905 were injured. Such data was given by the regional prosecutor's office.

There have been 25 accidents in the region in the past week. They injured 28 people, two died.

During this time, the traffic police detained 43 drivers who were driving while intoxicated. Four criminal cases were instituted for repeated drunk driving. Four vehicles were seized from the drivers.

Most of the accidents occurred in Kaliningrad - 12 accidents. They injured 13 people. In Guryev district there were five accidents with seven victims, in Zelenograd — three accidents with five victims. In Gusevsky and Pravdinsky districts, one person was killed in accidents. Accidents also occurred in the Slav, Guards and Bagrationov districts.
