For systematic beatings daughter resident of Urmar district received a suspended sentence

The violence continued for more than a year. The victim was 13 years old. The girl now lives separately from her father. The court appointed the man 3 years and 1 month of suspended imprisonment.

The investigation and the court established that from May 2024 to August 2025, a 47-year-old resident of the Urmar district systematically beat his daughter and committed other violent acts. They caused the child physical pain and moral suffering.

In addition, the man did not perform the duties of raising a girl. His guilt is confirmed by the testimony of the victim and witnesses, the conclusions of forensic examinations and other materials of the criminal case.

The court found the father guilty of torturing a minor and failing to perform duties for her upbringing. The sentence is considered conditional with a probation period of two years.

If you know your child is being hit or threatened at home, don’t consider it a family affair. If there is an imminent threat, call the police on 102 or call 112.
