For the withdrawal of 157 thousand rubles from the credit card of the deceased mother, the tula faces a court and a criminal

The Suvorov interdistrict court will consider the criminal case of a woman who is accused of embezzling 157 thousand rubles from the credit card of the deceased mother. The court hearing is scheduled for November 2, 2026, shared details with the “MK in Tula” in the joint press service of the courts and the regional SDM.

According to the materials of the case, the mother of the accused died in May 2026. During her lifetime, she used a Sberbank credit card, and her daughter sometimes withdrew money from her on behalf of her mother and knew the PIN code.

In June, the woman decided to use the funds on the card on her own. She twice withdrew money at the ATM of Sberbank in Suvorov: first 50 thousand rubles, then another 107 thousand. The total amount of damage caused to the bank amounted to 157 thousand rubles.

Now the woman is accused of stealing from a bank account under paragraph "d" of part 3 of article 158 of the criminal code. During the proceedings, she was chosen a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior.

Earlier, MK in Tula reported about another dispute between Sberbank and relatives of a deceased resident of the region because of her loan debt. The bank tried to recover from her husband and son 128 thousand rubles after her death in 2020. At the same time, as reported by Tula media, when issuing a credit card in 2018, the client connected life insurance. Under the terms of the agreement, after the death of the borrower, the insurance company had to take over the loan obligations.
