In Yekaterinburg detained 11 members of ethnic gang in the case of hooliganism in transport

In Yekaterinburg detained 11 members of ethnic organized crime groups in the case of hooliganism in transport. The incidents occurred on October 6, 2026 in different parts of the city. According to these facts, the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region opened criminal cases under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism), the press service of the department reports.
During the joint work of investigators of the TFR, operatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB of Russia, as well as with the forceful support of SOBR fighters, 11 suspects – 6 men and 5 women – were detained in Perm. The investigation believes that they were all part of an ethnic organized criminal group.
Now law enforcement officers conduct a complex of investigative actions: establish all the circumstances of crimes, collect and consolidate evidence. The issue of bringing charges against detainees and choosing a preventive measure is being resolved. In addition, the suspects are checked for involvement in other crimes, in particular, in a series of thefts of citizens’ property on public transport.
Earlier, MK-Ural wrote that the Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg found a resident of Chelyabinsk Kirill Pyrev guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale). The court found that Pyryev was part of the criminal group, which specialized in fraud. He was the courier.
