Man dies after jumping into tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Zoo

According to police, a man died after being attacked by a tiger after jumping into his aviary at the Yorkshire Zoo, writes The Guardian.
Emergency services were contacted shortly after 13:30 on Saturday when a man entered the aviary of Yorkshire Wildlife Park, near Doncaster, and was attacked by a tiger.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, South Yorkshire Police said, adding that his family had been informed.
Video footage circulating online shows a tiger in an enclosure beating a man.
A police spokesman said the tiger attacked the man and caused him “serious injuries”.
"Emergency services have arrived and unfortunately, despite the best efforts of medical staff, the man was pronounced dead at the scene," they added.
“Regarding the rumours about the tiger’s condition, the animal was not injured and remained in the enclosure after the incident, and there is no wider danger to the population.”.
Police have urged people not to post “disturbing” videos of the attack on social media.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park said there had been a "serious incident" inside the fence.
A statement said: Our emergency response procedures were immediately launched and emergency services are currently on the scene. We are working closely with the authorities to establish exactly what happened.” The safety and well-being of visitors, staff and animals remains our highest priority.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park opened in 2009, and the Land of Tigers attraction opened in 2011.
The attraction is located on the territory of a specially built reserve of two acres for Amur tigers - an endangered subspecies, in the wild of which about 500 individuals remain.
Photos of the enclosure posted on the park's website show a high walkway for visitors and a fencing over the site where tigers can roam.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesman said various forces and assets were sent to the scene, including two ambulances, a Yorkshire air ambulance and a doctor.
