Kursk industrial district court sentences local man accused of stealing property from e-cigarette store

The Kursk industrial district court has sentenced a local resident accused of stealing property from an e-cigarette store.
According to the investigation, the theft occurred in July 2026 late at night. At about 01:30, the chicken, guided by selfish motives, approached the trading point on Sumy Street. In order not to attract attention and not leave traces, the man took off his sneakers and left them on the street, after which he climbed barefoot on the window sill. Having bent the window frame, the attacker entered the room.
Once in the trading room, the thief opened the cash register with a key and took from there 5 thousand rubles. He then emptied the storefronts, putting POD systems and several dozen bottles of vape liquids in a bag. With the stolen goods and money, the man fled, disposing of the prey at his own discretion. The total amount of damage to the store amounted to 76 590 rubles.
During the trial, the defendant fully admitted guilt and sincerely repented. Moreover, he voluntarily compensated for the damage. The court considered these facts as mitigating circumstances. However, the aggravating factor was the presence of a recurrence of crimes, the joint press service of the judicial system of the Kursk region said.
The kidnapper received a year of imprisonment with serving in a strict regime colony. Before the announcement of the sentence, he was under a written order not to leave, but the measure of restraint was changed to detention - the man was arrested right in the courtroom.
The sentence has not yet entered into force.
