A resident of the capital stole from the backpack of a colleague 750 BYN

A criminal case has been sent to the court against a 31-year-old resident of the capital who is accused of theft, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency was told in the Partizan district prosecutor's office.

The accused worked as a loader in a private enterprise located on the street. Carvata. At lunchtime, he was left alone in the cabin and, taking a moment, decided to examine the contents of a colleague’s backpack. Among other things, there was a wallet from which the attacker stole 750 BYN. Other people’s money later he spent on paying for an order on one of the marketplaces, bets in online casinos and products.

Discovering the disappearance, the victim appealed to the police. Removing the suspect to clean water was not labor. A criminal case was opened against a resident of the capital.

- The accused had previously had problems with the law - the conviction was extinguished, said Timur Stuzhuk, deputy prosecutor of the Partizan district. He was charged with secret theft of property (theft), that is, with committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code, the sanction of which is up to three years in prison. The citizen fully admitted his guilt, repented of what he had done, and did not compensate the victim for the damage.

A preventive measure was applied against the accused in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper conduct.
