Resident of the Tver region caught on " rod " scammers when buying a boiler

A resident of the Kalinin district lost 55 thousand rubles when trying to buy a gas boiler on the Internet, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Tver region reports.

It became known that the 53-year-old man found an advertisement for the sale of the boiler on one of the sites and contacted the seller at the specified number. After agreeing on the terms, he was sent the details and asked to transfer the full amount - 55,000 rubles - with the promise of delivery within 1-2 days. The money was transferred, but neither the goods nor communication with the seller after the promised period was not followed, and the page with the announcement was blocked.

Three weeks later, the victim went to the police. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of fraud, a set of operational-search measures is being carried out to identify persons involved in the crime.
