Resident of the Usman district fined 15 thousand rubles for false denunciation of a cohabitant

The Usmansky district court of the Lipetsk region announced the verdict to a 42-year-old local resident found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - a knowingly false denunciation of a crime. This was reported in the joint press service of the judicial system of the region.

According to the materials of the case, in May 2026, the defendant appealed to the internal affairs bodies with a statement about the theft of 45 thousand rubles, pointing to the involvement of his cohabitant. However, the inspection showed that the information was completely fictional, and no theft actually occurred. As established by the court, the man acted out of revenge - on the basis of a quarrel with his partner, he intended to settle scores with her in this way, initiating a criminal prosecution.

During the trial, the defendant pleaded guilty in full. He was sentenced to a fine of 15,000 rubles. The sentence has not yet entered into force.
