The victim was a 67-year-old Minsk citizen. He said that the unknown entered the territory of his site and set fire to the vehicle.
As the operatives of the criminal investigation found out, the suspect came to Minsk in order to enter the university. In the first days of his stay in the capital, he drank alcoholic beverages in the company of friends. While walking in a state of alcoholic intoxication, the young man was in the private sector.
Moving over the fence of someone else’s household, the attacker found a truck MAZ and a Dodge Caravan in the yard. At first he tried to start a truck, but, having no driving skills, gave up the idea. Then he also made an unsuccessful attempt to start the engine of the car. In the cabin of the last guy found a gas burner, turned it on and left it in the front seat, then closed the car and fled the scene.
Police said the fire had not spread. Due to the limited air flow in the enclosed cabin, the flames went out on their own.
The detainee could not clearly explain the motives of his action. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the defendant.
