Resident of Zaporozhye village arrested for stealing a refrigerator

In the village of Prishib Mikhailovsky district, police stopped the theft of household appliances.

As law enforcement officers found out, a 33-year-old resident of the village broke into someone else’s house – for this he pressed the front door. From the house, the man stole a two-chamber refrigerator brand “Atlant”. The damage caused to the owner of the property was estimated at 37 thousand rubles.

Employees of the division of precinct commissioners of the police department “Mikhailovsky” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Vasilyevsky” promptly established the identity of the attacker and delivered him to the department. The man issued a confession - the corresponding protocol was drawn up.

The stolen refrigerator was seized and returned to the rightful owner - now the equipment is in his custody.

Now the issue of initiating a criminal case under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”) is being resolved. If the case is initiated, the defendant may face a sentence of up to six years in prison – this is the maximum term provided for by the sanction of this article.
