Resident of Energodar convicted of causing harm to obsessive boyfriend

A resident of Energodar received mandatory jobs for stabbing an obsessive boyfriend.

In May 2026, a drunk woman born in 1974 came to the entrance of her house, where she met two men who were also drunk. One of them became rude to her. The woman was outraged, reported it and called the police, but the man did not stop. Then she took out a folding stationery knife from the bag and hit it in the right hand. The victim was treated with a wound and stitched.

Later, the woman apologized and explained her act of intoxication and stress.

Her actions were qualified under paragraph "c" of part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - intentional infliction of light harm to health with the use of an object as a weapon.

The court took into account mitigating circumstances: confession of guilt, repentance, assistance to the investigation and the presence of a young child. As a result, the Energodar City Court of Zaporozhye region appointed 160 hours of mandatory work.

It is not reported whether the man was prosecuted for harassment.
