A resident of the Ivanovo region demands several million moral damage from fraudsters who deceived her

Teikovsky district court accepted for production the claim of a resident of the city to the recipient of funds stolen fraudulently.

Background: In April 2026, a crime was committed against the plaintiff (Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Unknown, using threats, forced her to transfer 1.35 million rubles. During the investigation, it was established that 1.3 million rubles of this amount came to the account of the defendant, a resident of the Kabardino-Balkan Republic, who then distributed them to her accounts.

Earlier, the court ordered the defendant to return 1.3 million rubles, this is unjust enrichment.

The plaintiff asks to recover compensation for moral damage in the amount of 2.6 million rubles, citing moral suffering, fear of losing savings for the purchase of housing and the need for long-term treatment.

A court hearing has been scheduled. The sentence has not entered into force.
