A resident of Berdyansk was convicted of stealing the pension of a deceased relative

The Berdyansk city court sentenced a 62-year-old local resident for theft from a bank account. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of Zaporozhye region.

The woman had access to her relative's card. Knowing about her death and about the receipt of a pension of 18,600 rubles, she withdrew this amount and spent at her discretion.

The money belonged to the Pension and Social Insurance Fund in the Zaporozhye region. After the discovery of the disappearance, the foundation contacted the police. The defendant's identity was established.

The court appointed her 1 year of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 6 months.
