A resident of Tver was convicted of sending drugs to a friend in the colony

The Bologov interdistrict prosecutor's office supported the state prosecution against a 42-year-old resident of Tver, who appeared before the court on points "a, b" of part 3 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

In August 2024, a previously convicted man agreed with his friend, who was serving a sentence in a correctional institution, to send him drugs. The defendant hid prohibited substances in food and sent a parcel to the colony, but his actions were stopped by the FSIN officers.

The man was sentenced to 8 years in prison in a special regime correctional colony.
