The Central Bank has defined the rules of anti-money laundering control for cryptodepositaries

The Bank of Russia has determined how new participants in the cryptocurrency market – digital depositories – should build anti-money laundering controls. The draft regulation on the rules of internal control in order to combat the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, the financing of terrorism and extremist activities (AML/CFT/ED) of the Central Bank published for discussion.

The Bank of Russia has expanded the assets in which management companies will be able to invest funds from retail mutual funds (PIF). The corresponding decree, registered by the Ministry of Justice, the Central Bank published on September 23. The main part of the document comes into force 10 days after publication. It includes new opportunities for investing in non-tradable assets, crypto derivatives and machine places.
