Diesel prices on the CME exchange fell by 5%
Diesel exchange quotations in the United States decreased after statements by US President Donald Trump on an agreement on the supply of Russian diesel to the country and to world markets

Futures for diesel with delivery in November on the CME exchange at auction on Friday, October 9, fell by 4.98% and at a minimum amounted to $4.6396 per gallon (е394 per gallon / е104 per liter).
The exchange value of diesel fell after US President Donald Trump said that during “very successful negotiations” with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, they reached an agreement on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to world markets.
Russia will immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of diesel to the U.S. and world markets, another 500,000 tons during November and 1 million tons immediately thereafter. In addition, depending on the state of its refineries, Russia will supply 3 million tons of diesel fuel in a short time, the American leader wrote in Truth Social.
The US Treasury Department has issued temporary permits for the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the world market. The license will be valid until April 7, 2027. According to the document, the permit applies to the sale, supply, unloading and import of Russian diesel fuel, including directly to the United States.
Thanks to U.S. control of the Strait of Hormuz and an agreement with Russia, diesel prices in the United States and around the world will begin to decline rapidly.
