Sovcombank is increasing the volume of buybacks of its shares to а3 billion for the quarter. Management believes that the buyback remains for the bank the most profitable investment in the public market

On Tuesday, October 6, Sovcombank shares rose by 4.21%, at the peak of quotations reached е10.13 per paper. This is evidenced by data at 12:57 MSK.

Quotes are growing against the background of reports that Sovcombank from October 7 increases the amount of funds allocated to buy back its shares. The amount will rise from й2 billion to й3 billion per quarter, the company said on its corporate disclosure website. In the third quarter, the securities were repurchased for .2 billion, as planned. The remaining parameters of the program announced on June 20, 2026, do not change.

The return on capital (ROE) for the first half of 2026 was 21.1%. At the same time, on October 1, the share was worth .9.4. Under IFRS, shareholder capital as of June 30 was у19 per paper outstanding. Management considers this assessment to be understated. As long as this situation persists, the redemption remains for Sovcombank the most profitable investment in the public market, the company said.

The corresponding decree, registered by the Ministry of Justice, the Central Bank published on September 23. The main part of the document comes into force 10 days after publication.
