Shelf-life budget
The draft federal budget submitted to the State Duma gives reason to hope that 2027 will be possible without another significant increase in spending and deficit. The government seems to be counting on containing spending so that the Bank of Russia has additional grounds for softening the PrEP, and the economy has the opportunity to restore investment activity. A year of fiscal austerity could save us from much more painful spending cuts and tax hikes in the future.
