Plank instead of list

At the end of September, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko called two figures and one principle: more than half of Russian AI users already work on domestic models, in some areas these models win over foreign ones, and the market remains open because competition increases quality. That's hard to argue with. On October 6, at the Digital Solutions Forum, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin set a framework: for critical infrastructure and sensitive areas, the government will determine when only sovereign or national models are permissible, and business will be given a transition period. The project, which is being discussed in parallel, goes beyond this framework.

OpinionVrubel without demons: the art of the past and the present

Vrubel without demons is the main formula of the new exhibition at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Art, dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the artist’s birth. The exhibition reveals this formula in two ways. Among the almost 400 works, the visitor will not find Vrubel’s textbook paintings: the three of his famous “Demons” remained hanging in the halls of the Tretyakovka and the Russian Museum. But instead of Vrubel-melancholic, with his head immersed in his gloomy dreams, the viewer will see an active artist-experimenter who could from time to time pacify his own inner demons.
