Ipatov: Belarus fully supports China’s peace and constructive initiatives

On the sidelines of the XII BRICS Parliamentary Forum in India, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vadim Ipatov met with Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zheng Jianbang.

Vadim Ipatov noted that the development of cooperation with the People's Republic of China is a priority direction of the foreign policy of the Republic of Belarus:

- Our country has always been and remains a loyal and reliable friend of China. Minsk and Beijing have made a powerful path to an all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership. Next year we will celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations based on mutual respect and deep political trust of the leaders of our countries.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed that Belarus fully supports China’s peaceful and constructive initiatives, considering them a reliable reference point for solving key problems of our time. The common goal of our countries is the formation of a just multipolar world that provides indivisible security and prosperity for all states. The inter-parliamentary track demonstrates exemplary speed in this matter. Over the past two years, Minsk and Beijing have exchanged official visits of parliamentary delegations and established a high-level committee on legislative cooperation. The practical nature of the ties is confirmed by the case: in June, the third meeting was held, and the fourth is scheduled for 2027 – already in Beijing.

Belarusian parliamentarians are always open to direct cooperation, and are ready to provide maximum assistance to the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, he said.

Vadim Ipatov also conveyed warm greetings and good wishes to Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji from Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeenko.
