Lukashenko speaks to farmer on potato field about wages, competition and future of village
The conversation turned out to be very vital - about why people choose to work in agriculture, why farms compete and how to attract workers from the city.

During a working trip to the Shklovsky district, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Diana farm. It specializes in the cultivation of potatoes and gives more than 70% of the gross harvest of this crop in the area. On the field, the Head of State talked with the head of the economy Vladimir Malinovskiy. In the conversation, not only the yield and prospects of potato farming were touched upon, but also salaries, the delivery of workers, the consolidation of farms and the development of the Shklovsky district. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Competition and model area
Near the farm field are the lands of the agricultural enterprise "Gazovik-Sipakovo". Malinowski called it a competitor in yield. Alexander Lukashenko supported this approach and said that the competition will benefit the farms. The President also spoke about plans to make the Shklovsky district exemplary.
According to him, in the area put order in the farms. At the same time, the experience of the Dzerzhinsky agricultural plant, where production, processing and trade are combined, could not be fully repeated in the Kupalovskoye agricultural holding. Therefore, individual farms will continue to work independently.
Workers are being brought in from the city
Vladimir Malinovskiy praised the consolidation of farms and the construction of large complexes. According to him, this allows you to use powerful equipment and modern technologies.
The farmer noted that today it has become easier to organize the delivery of workers from district cities. Many mechanics grew up in the countryside, but then moved to the city and continue to work in agriculture.
“Man is the main thing. And now it costs nothing to bring a person, Malinowski said.
He also noted the increase in the number of cars among residents. According to him, even parking near the farm is not enough.
Salary depends on the amount of work
Separately, the interlocutors talked about the income of employees. The average salary in the farm last year amounted to 3600 rubles. During the harvest season, employees receive more.
In August, the average salary of a full-time employee reached 6668 rubles. Employees employed in storage under civil law contracts receive about 3400 rubles. Malinowski explained that the harvesting campaign has to work 12 hours or more.
“Working hard. How else? While cleaning, there is no other way out, the farmer said.
Lukashenka stressed that the main thing is to pay for work fairly. According to him, if the head can not provide salaries to employees, people lose motivation.
“We need to organize work so that they earn,” the farmer agreed.
If there were 5,000 Malinowskis
The head of state also spoke about the development of private initiative in agriculture. He noted that farmers can effectively manage farms, but it is not easy to find such leaders.
Lukashenko cited the example of Mikhail Shruba, a farmer from Zhitkovichi district, who is expanding production and is ready to take over the entire farm.
“If we had 5,000 Malinowskikhs, there would be no problems in agriculture,” he said.
At the same time, Vladimir Malinovskiy was optimistic about the prospects of the industry.
“The best, of course, lies ahead. People will be born. And they will learn to work, he said.
“We have to go this way. You will not go anywhere, Alexander Lukashenko said.
