Lukashenko urges young people to look philosophically at geography and history of Belarus
At the youth forum “Youth”. Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko said that the position of Belarus at the crossroads of Eurasia is both an advantage and a source of historical trials.
Speaking at the youth forum “Youth”. Belarus. President Alexander Lukashenko gave a deep assessment of the geographical and geopolitical position of the country. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state recalled that the location of Belarus at an important crossroads of Eurasia is considered to be an unconditional benefit for the nation. However, he urged young people to look at history philosophically, noting the law of dualism: in any process there are both positive and negative sides.
“If you have a head on your shoulders and manage it wisely, it will probably be a great benefit. But what does history teach us? It teaches the main philosophical conclusion: there should never be a one-sided understanding of the process. There is something positive, necessarily on the other hand – negative, – said the Belarusian leader.
According to him, it is because of this strategic position in the past that the Belarusian land and its inhabitants have experienced many hardships and suffered huge losses.
