Marzalyuk: Belarus respects its neighbors but will not allow them to dictate its rules
The MP stressed that the political course of the state should be determined by the will of the Belarusian people.

Belarus stands for calm and respectful relations with neighboring states, but does not intend to give up its independence and allow anyone to determine the country’s domestic policy. This was stated in an interview with ONT TV channel by the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Education, Culture and Science Igor Marzalyuk.
Tolerance and non-interference
Speaking about how Belarus builds relations with its neighbors, taking into account historical experience and modern geopolitical processes, Igor Marzalyuk noted that the country adheres to the principle of tolerance.
I want to say that Belarusian tolerance. I don't like the word tolerance. We try not to provoke the situation before the conflict, the deputy said.
Belarus is interested in peaceful coexistence and does not seek to aggravate relations with other states. However, such an approach does not mean a willingness to take externally imposed decisions.
But at the same time, we do not allow anyone to dictate their rules to us, said Igor Marzalyuk.
The political course determines the people
The MP expressed confidence that the interests of peoples and nations should ultimately have greater weight than the actions of individual politicians who are guided by personal benefits.
“I am deeply convinced that the interests of peoples and nations will prevail over the interests of insignificant politicians who trade their countries, meanings, their businesses,” he said.
According to Igor Marzalyuk, relations between states should be built on mutual respect, without interfering in each other’s internal processes.
“Let's be normal. It is normal to lead with respect, one to one, understanding that the political model of the country, parliament, power, power structure are determined not by the George Soros Foundation, but as a result of the will of the people.
He stressed that Belarus intends to maintain its independence in making political decisions while maintaining a respectful dialogue with neighboring countries.
