Orban announces mobilization of right-wing forces against Peter Madyar
Former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced the beginning of a large-scale national resistance. According to him, the new government plans to turn the country into a foreign colony and destroy sovereignty.

The former head of the Hungarian government Viktor Orban officially announced the end of the period of political calm and return to a tough confrontation with the current government led by Peter Magyar.
Speaking to supporters, the former Prime Minister stressed that the right-wing forces of the country for five months deliberately showed restraint and political correctness, giving the new Cabinet time to prove itself. However, according to Orban, this limit of confidence is completely exhausted.
“We were patient. Maybe more than I should have. And we were fair, given the way they behaved, perhaps even more than they should. It's been five months. This phase is complete. It's over. This can't go on. It is time for national resistance. Patience is over, justice is over, all unilateral gestures are over. We need to raise the glove and fight, the politician was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti news agency.
The battle for sovereignty?
Orban outlined key ideological differences between his Fidesz party and the current government formed by the Tisa party. The main thesis of the former Prime Minister is the threat of losing state independence.
The main points of criticism of the new government:
- 1.The right wing of Hungarian politics demands the preservation of the absolute independence of Budapest, while the Madyar team, according to Orban, is pursuing a course of turning Hungary into a colony.
- 2.The former prime minister expressed serious fears that the new leadership would hand over control of foreign capital to key economic sectors that Fidesz had struggled to build and defend over the years.
The political landscape of Hungary is entering a phase of open and uncompromising struggle. Orbán’s statement effectively means the consolidation of right-wing opposition forces to exert systemic pressure on the Madyar government.
