1,000 emergency crews prepare for winter in Sverdlovsk region

At the meeting of the government of the Sverdlovsk region approved a set of measures aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted passage of the heating season. This is reported by the Information Policy Department.
According to Governor Denis Pasler, 21 municipalities have so far received certificates of readiness for the heating season. By November 15, all the territories of the region must be checked and issued the relevant documents.
According to the regional Ministry of Energy and Housing and Utilities, the warmth was served to 82 municipalities. In some territories, gusts on thermal networks have been recorded, and work is continuing to modernize networks, so there are spot blackouts. Emergency situations are quickly eliminated, the head of the region noted.
For the heating season, 1,420 boiler houses, more than 15 thousand km of thermal, more than 12 thousand km of water supply and 7 thousand km of sewerage networks were prepared. Stocks of boiler fuel were provided, 1018 emergency brigades with a total number of more than 5 thousand people were formed, 1,427 units of special equipment were ready.
“By the beginning of the season, about 417 km of dilapidated thermal, water and sewage networks have been replaced,” said Denis Pasler.
All social facilities are already connected to the heat. Among them are 1,200 schools, 1,600 kindergartens, more than 900 healthcare facilities, over 650 sports institutions and 937 cultural institutions.
On September 16, MK-Ural wrote that in the Sverdlovsk region heat supply began to be included in 52 municipalities. The head of the region noted that the region is ready for the heating season. 25% of boiler houses have already been launched, heating is supplied to 5% of the housing stock and 875 social facilities.
