“Vedomosti”: Russia became the leader in reducing the number of abortions for 15 years
Over the past 15 years, the number of abortions registered in Russia has decreased from 1.01 million to 235,700, or 4 times. For 100 births, they became 3 times less – 20 instead of 56, follows from the data of Rosstat, the Ministry of Health and expert estimates that were collected by Vedomosti. Among the hundred largest countries in the world, Russia moved from the last ten to the 30th place, and also turned out to be the world leader with the most significant decrease in the relative number of such operations.
