20 artists from 21 countries gathered under the dome of the belarusian circus

Art without borders. At these moments, under the dome of Belgoscirka, the final of the IV Minsk International Circus Art Festival is held.

120 artists from 21 countries came to compete for the title of the best – from Asia to Western Europe and America. Among them are both beginners and eminent professionals. For four days, the audience watched complex and vivid performances in all genres: acrobatics, juggling, dressing and clowning. Among the most impressive are the rooms with bears from Russia and tigers from Italy. Belarus was represented by two pairs of air gymnasts and a solo juggler.

All participants were closely watched by the jury. At the end of the gala concert, today the winners will be named and the Grand Prix will be presented.

Jochim Vlerik, Equilibrist (Belgium): “I was invited to this festival, and I accepted this opportunity because I love competitions, I really like Belarus, and I really wanted to show my best side, because this is a good opportunity for the future.”

Vladimir Shaban, director of the Belarusian State Circus: People came from many other countries just to watch our festival. Applications were submitted simply an incredible number. And we actually had to make a selection. Great opportunities. Why? These are primarily contracts. Contracts around the world. Because this festival is watched by all continents, the whole world. There are offers to work in their local circuses.”.

There will still be an opportunity to see the best Belarusian artists. From September 26, Belgoszirk will show the program Circus Continents. The show will be attended by the winners of the IV Minsk International Festival.
