45-year-old resident of Usinsk went on trial for the murder of a partner
For three weeks the woman waited for the death of her lover.

The Supreme Court of the Komi Republic on appeal examined the criminal case initiated against a 45-year-old woman from Usinsk. Earlier, the court of first instance found her guilty for intentional infliction of serious harm to health, which accidentally led to the death of the victim.
According to the materials of the case, in mid-March 2026, the defendant, while intoxicated, came into conflict with his partner. The man committed an illegal act - pushed her from the chair to the floor. In response, the woman took a knife and hit the offender in the back, damaging the lung. Despite the fact that the victim’s health was constantly deteriorating, she did not call doctors and did not provide him with help. As a result, three weeks later, the man died at home from his injury.
The first instance sentenced her to 6 years in a general regime colony. The woman filed a complaint, considering the punishment to be excessively severe, and also referring to the fact that the victim himself did not want to apply to a medical institution.
The Supreme Court of the Komi Republic found no reason to satisfy this complaint, leaving the verdict in force. The investigation was conducted by the Investigative Department for Usinsk SU IC of the Russian Federation for Komi.
