5 years received a resident of the Kirsan district for the blow of the inspector

The 25-year-old man heard the verdict of the Kirsanovskiy district court. He was found guilty of two offences: re-driving a car while drunk and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

As it turned out during the proceedings, in August 2025, a young man who already had a criminal record for a similar violation again sat behind the wheel of a VAZ-21112 after drinking alcohol. DPS inspectors stopped him and offered to enter the patrol car for identity checks and medical examinations. However, the man refused to obey, got out of the car, and when the guards tried to handcuff him, showed active resistance and punched one of the inspectors in the face. The policeman suffered slight harm to his health.

Having studied the circumstances of the case, the court imposed a punishment of 5 years imprisonment in a correctional colony of strict regime. In addition, the convicted person is deprived of the right to drive vehicles for 5 years.

The sentence has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
