Zheleznovodsk for a day turned into the center of Cossack culture, where history came to life in ancient rites and well-known art. The main event of the holiday was a symbolic "landing on a horse": twenty young citizens received a blessing and for the first time felt like real riders. This unique action, once almost forgotten, returned to the Stavropol land as an exclusive visiting card of the local Cossack society.

The atmosphere of the holiday was complemented by gambling shermitia - traditional games in which participants competed in strength, accuracy and masterful sword ownership. Guests not only enjoyed spectacular performances in the arena, but also tried dishes of authentic field cuisine.

“Such events prove that the connection of generations in Kavminvody is strong, and the heritage of ancestors still causes a lively delight and pride,” said the head of the resort Yevgeny Bakulin.

Earlier it was reported that in Zheleznovodsk revived the Cossack rite of “landing on a horse”.
