In Boxitogorsk celebrated the 70th anniversary of the first bus route and the anniversary of the fleet. Citizens could ride on retro buses ZIS-155 and LAZ-695 on the historical route and visit the exhibition of retro transport of the USSR from the 30s. This was reported in the press service of the administration of Boxitogorsk district of the Leningrad region.

Welcoming guests took on the musician Oleg Vasilkov. In his performance sounded both author's compositions and famous hits that filled the atmosphere of the holiday. At the exhibition you could see two motorcycles, eight cars and ten trucks. All participants of the flights received as a gift a calendar and an original control ticket.

The history of the bus park in Boxitogorsk dates back to September 1956. Then, on the basis of the garage belonging to the Tikhvin bauxite mines, the Boxitogorsk auto farm was founded. Since then, there have been regular bus services in the city.

“Originally, the motor company had only four ZIS-155 buses. They served the only route that passed through the whole city – from the Tikhvin alumina plant to the stop “Cherekhovetskaya” – shared in the press service of the administration of Boxitogorsk district.

In 1959, the company began suburban transportation. By 1970, the fleet had grown to 20 buses, replacing the ZIL-158 with PAZ and LAZ. Now the company is called LLC "Passazhiravtotrans" and has more than 25 vehicles.
