Today, Novgorod residents celebrate a funny informal holiday - the Day of Autumn Mirages. It was invented in the early 2010s and associated with the transience of autumn.

At the end of October, strong temperature contrasts are often observed, fogs occur at the junction of warm and cold layers of air. It is in this weather that optical illusions and mirages are born on the rivers, lakes and streets of the city.

The holiday is for relaxation. Despite the fact that autumn sweeps quickly and the golden trees are instantly exposed before winter, you need to appreciate these moments and enjoy the outgoing warmth. On this day, it is advised to walk along water bodies, watch rain drops and falling leaves, drinking hot chocolate.
