The wall of goodness 174 meters long

One of the longest murals in the entire North-West was opened in Gatchina. Its length is 174 meters, the press service of the administration of the Gatchina district reported. Young St. Petersburg and Leningrad artists worked on the mural for six months.

A grandiose image of good deeds decorated the fence of the Gatchina Rehabilitation House, literally two minutes walk from the popular youth zone of Gatchina – the Boulevard of Science. Mural reflects the main directions of volunteer activity of Leningrad residents. These are donation, eco-volunteering, restoration of monuments, participation in mutual assistance actions “We are together”, assistance to the population in emergencies, support for people with limited mobility, event volunteering, animal assistance, the formation of a comfortable urban environment and the regional action “Ladoga landing”.

And the mural calls not to be indifferent and join in good deeds. And not only slogans: “Goodness begins with you”, “Goodness is action”, “Goodness is the norm of life”. For those he inspired, there is a QR code leading to Russia’s main federal volunteer platform, Dobro.rf.

One of the key areas of youth policy in the region is the development of the volunteer movement. According to the portal national projects.rf, in the Leningrad region more than 51 thousand people are involved in volunteer activities. The region is traditionally among the five strongest subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of the level of volunteerism.
