Phuket police in Thailand detained 32-year-old Russian Konstantin, who was accused of illegal work as a guide, reports ThaiPost.
The reason was the complaint of tourists who filmed the man during the story about the sights. According to them, the Russian began to threaten them and demanded to delete the recording.
After the appeal of tourists, police found the ship east of the island of Maprao. On board, law enforcement officers found a Russian who told tourists about the sights and provided services for photography.
The man told police that he worked as a guide, told Russian tourists about the sights and received a reward for his services. He was unable to produce a work permit.
The Russian was charged with carrying out the activities of the guide without the appropriate permission. He was taken to Phuket Police Station for further investigation.
In Thailand, foreigners are forbidden to work as tour guides, this can only be done by citizens of the country. Violators face imprisonment or a fine, as well as deportation.
