The performer of Russian chanson, poet and composer Leonid Teleshev died on the 65th year of life. His death was reported by singer Pascal in the social network “Vkontakte”.
“Today he departed to Lord Teleshev Leonid Mikhailovich,” he wrote.
Leonid Teleshev was born on January 27, 1962 in Ulan-Ude and was the seventh child in the family. As a child, he learned to play the guitar, graduated from the Tver School of Culture, after the army wrote poetry and music. At the same time, he did not plan to professionally engage in music at first, worked as a driver, then did business and received a legal education.
From his youth, Teleshev was friends with Mikhail Vorobyov, who later became known as Mikhail Krug. In 1992, Teleshev helped the Circle with the recording of the album “Zhigan-Lemon”, and also became the first listener of “Vladimir Central” – the Circle first performed a song for a friend in a bath. Later, Krug dedicated several of his songs to Teleshev.
After the death of Krug in 2002, Teleshev helped his widow Irina, provided her with his studio and participated in the recording of her first songs. Soon he began his own concert career - in 2003 he released his debut album "I walked to you", and in 2004 he recorded a duet with Irina Krug "Friends". Since 2003, Teleshev also organized in Tver the festival of Russian chanson “In memory of Mikhail Krug”, which became an annual one, and helped young performers of the genre to come on stage.
