In the Kemerovo region, law enforcement officers detained two minors for sabotage on the railway. The teenagers set fire to the relay cabinet. This was reported by the press service of the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Siberian District.

“In the passage between the stations of Sudzhenka and Angers unknown persons set fire to the relay cabinet. Police detained the suspects — two 15-year-old schoolchildren from Anzhero-Sudzhensk, — stated in the message.

According to police, one of the teenagers in the messenger offered to earn on damage to the object of transport infrastructure. He agreed and brought in a classmate. According to the instructions, the teenagers bought flammable liquids, arrived at the specified coordinates and set fire to the object. They then sent a video of the arson to the recruiter and fled.

A criminal case has been opened against those detained by the investigative authorities under Part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code (diversion committed under aggravated circumstances by a group of persons by prior agreement).

In July 2026, in the Novosibirsk region, the number of criminal cases of sabotage involving teenagers increased. Over the past two years, 21 teenagers have been prosecuted as part of an investigation into sabotage. Investigator Alexandra Kiel noted that most often minors are attracted to arson relay cabinets and cell towers.
