Restrictions on the work of airports were introduced against the background of a massive attack by Ukrainian drones.
Most flights were delayed or canceled in Sheremetyevo - about 47 for departure and almost 106 for arrival. In Vnukovo, schedule adjustments affected 28 flights for departure and 23 for arrival. In Domodedovo, changes affected four flights.
Due to delays, airlines are adjusting their schedules. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights in advance.
From the evening of October 5 to the morning of October 6, more than 650 drones flew towards the Moscow region, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported. According to him, most of the UAV air defense forces destroyed at distant borders, another 105 — on the approach to Moscow. He later said 68 more drones had been intercepted. Against the background of the attack, Rosaviatsiya imposed restrictions on the reception and release of aircraft at the capital's airports.
