At the film festival in New York, the premiere of the film “Artificial” with Andrew Garfield as the head of OpenAI Sam Altman and Yura Borisov as the co-founder of the startup Ilya Sutskever took place. The plot of the film is built around the story of the dismissal of Altman from OpenAI in 2023, in which, as Bloomberg and WSJ wrote, Sutzkever played the role, and his subsequent reinstatement five days later.
In U.S. cinemas, the premiere will take place on December 25, says Deadline.

Garfield, preparing to play the role of Altman, “two or three months” watched the recordings of his performances, but they did not meet. Altman previously told Variety that when filming took place outside his home, he didn’t care until he saw a guy dressed like him and carrying the same backpack: I felt like I was in some strange glitch in the simulation. It was very unusual.” The head of OpenAI also commented on the moment from the teaser, where his character breaks into a bunker with a firearm hung on the walls. According to him, there is no such bunker, but Altman himself thought that “looked cool”.
