Manufacturer "Multikan-8" commented on the initiation of a criminal case

The company is aware of the criminal case, is interested in a comprehensive investigation and has launched internal inspections. This was reported to RBC in the press service of the manufacturer of the vaccine "Multikan-8" - the company "Vetbiokhim".

Vetbiohim is aware of the criminal case. We do not shy away from responsibility and do not shut ourselves off from the public and the investigation. Vetbiokhim is interested in a full and comprehensive investigation and situation and clarifying all the causes of the incident, the company said.

Vetbiokhim noted that they provide the necessary assistance to the investigating authorities, including providing the requested documents and giving explanations. In addition, the company has launched “the whole complex of internal inspections”.

“We have repeatedly voiced our position: this is a tragedy for us and the first such case in decades of hard work. We will not hide the results or cover up the guilty. We want an objective investigation, the establishment of wine and the appointment of adequate punishment for them, and will make every effort to achieve this goal, – stated in the message.

According to Vetbiokhim, the investigation is at the initial stage. The company stressed that they will give a more detailed comment after reviewing the case materials.

Earlier, the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Moscow informed RBC about the initiation of a case on the fact of using a deliberately forged quality passport for one of the series of veterinary vaccines (part 5 of Art. 327 of the Criminal Code). The Ministry specified that the fake document was placed in the electronic information system when the drug was put into circulation. The source of RBC in law enforcement agencies said that we are talking about the company “Vetbiokhim”, and said that the inspection continues.

The case was initiated following a joint inspection of the prosecutor’s office and Rosselkhoznadzor. On September 22, the prosecutor’s office reported that during the supervisory measures it revealed violations of the requirements of the legislation in the production of veterinary drugs. In relation to the head of the company made a submission, was also initiated to bring the perpetrators to administrative responsibility, and the materials of the inspection sent to resolve the issue of initiating a criminal case. Vetbiokhim soon confirmed to RBC receiving acts of prosecutorial response and reported that it was preparing documents for referral to the court.

The subject of technical inspection and sanitary measures was, in particular, the entry of the Auieschi virus into the 20th series of the Multican-8 vaccine.
