St. Petersburg courts register nine lawsuits against Say Agency

District courts of St. Petersburg registered seven lawsuits against the organizer of the concerts of OOO “Say Edgency” and the ticket operator “Intikets”. Head of the Joint Press Service of the City Courts Daria Lebedeva reported this in her Telegram channel.

The lawsuits were registered by the courts of Vyborg, Kalinin, Krasnoselsky, Moscow, Petrograd and Primorsky districts. Two more lawsuits were registered by magistrates, Lebedeva said.

Claims against the organizer of concerts and the ticket operator began to arrive in the courts against the background of the cancellation of performances of American rapper Kanye West, which were scheduled for October 10 and 11 at the Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg.

The Kanye West concert program, Say Agency, was announced in mid-August. Gazprom Arena was listed as a concert venue. The organizers specified that other options were considered, for example, Luzhniki in Moscow, but the chosen site had an advantage, since it was all-weather.

However, shortly after the announcement and the start of sales, Gazprom Arena said that no contract was signed with the organizer of the Say Agency concert. On September 29, it was announced that the concerts would not take place. The cancellation was also confirmed in the US.

After the cancellation of the events, the head of Say Agency Anna Subcheva called the only, in her opinion, mistake in the organization: the agency relied not on a signed contract on paper, but on “conceptual relations” that are “accepted in the media business.”.

The concert organizer is already facing problems: the company has been sued by ticket buyers, and the police have received complaints about possible fraud. According to the FSSP, on September 30, enforcement proceedings were initiated on the imposition of an arrest of 115.5 thousand rubles on the accounts of Say Edgency LLC.

Everyone will be able to apply for a refund for tickets to Kanye West’s canceled concerts, said Anna Subcheva, head of Say Agency. The return procedure will begin on October 12.
