The crew of 23 Indian nationals has been rescued. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.
The fire on the tanker was previously reported by the head of the administration of the federal territory (FT) “Sirius” Dmitry Plishkin. He said that the beaches of the FT will be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of citizens.
The ship was under the flag of Liberia and, according to the Ministry of Transport, was attacked by sea drones. The head of the Ministry Andrei Nikitin held a meeting of the headquarters for the elimination of the consequences of the fire.
According to the Agency, in the Black sea there is an open burning of oil.
