Grigorenko announced a new antifraud system with red-green buttons
The red button will allow you to block all operations on the Internet, if there is a risk of becoming a victim of deception, and “take your breath”, said the Deputy Prime Minister. With the green button, all processes can be resumed
In Russia, it is planned to introduce a system of red and green buttons to quickly block all transactions on the Internet. This was told in an interview with IS “Vesti” by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian government – the head of the government apparatus Dmitry Grigorenko.
The red button of the new system will allow you to block all your operations in banks, government agencies and telecom operators in the event that a person encountered scammers.
Why? Because often a person, realizing that he was deceived or his password was stolen, he does not understand where to run and what to do. And here it ... should be very convenient, and most importantly, should immediately put on pause all operations on the Internet in relation to a potentially deceived or deceived person.
Grigorenko compared the new mechanics to a “stop crane” that a person can click on if he sees risks for himself to freeze all transactions on the Internet on his behalf.
“It is necessary for a person to catch his breath, as they say. See what's really going on. And then, if all is well, we naturally run a green button in parallel, this is a button that cancels his previous decision on blocking.
Grigorenko also noted that in the first eight months of 2026, the number of crimes in the Internet sphere in Russia decreased by a third. “This is the first time since the observation,” he said
In late July, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the number of crimes committed using social networks and instant messengers for six months decreased by 58%. "In the current period, the internal affairs bodies registered 98 thousand such facts," the ministry said.
In June, the company F6, specializing in cybersecurity, reported that the cumulative damage of Russians from financial fraud in digital channels over the past year and a half exceeded 600 billion rubles.
