What does dawn look like among the rocks on Mars? Photography

The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) published a frame of the Martian dawn, which managed to capture the Curiosity rover. According to Reuters, the photo was taken about an hour after sunrise against a background of rocky terrain.
“Bright rocky peaks in the distance are a layer of rock, externally significantly different from all those that the rover has recorded so far.” We speculate that it was once sedimentary deposits carried by the wind, perhaps sand or even ash that hit the crater as a result of volcanic activity nearby. After the sediments hardened, the centuries-old wind carved crests in this layer of rock, which are called yardangs, said Curiosity project scientist Ashwin Vasavada.
According to him, the image obtained from Mars is similar to the landscape of Monument Valley in the US state of Arizona.
The mission of the Curiosity rover includes the study of the geology and climate of Mars, as well as the search for an answer to the question whether the planet ever had conditions favorable for the existence of microorganisms. The rover has been studying the planet since 2012, when it landed there.
