A Russian tourist fell on cliffs and died while paragliding in the Fethiye district of Mugla province in southwestern Turkey. The man was 37 years old, CNN reported.
According to the channel, the incident occurred at about 10:30 local time (coincides with Moscow time). The man climbed the runway on Mount Babadagh, located at an altitude of 1900 m, to fly on a paraglider. Shortly after takeoff, he fell to the rocks for an unspecified reason.
A gendarmerie search and rescue unit and a national medical rescue team were deployed to the area. Investigators found that the man died on the spot. His body was taken to the morgue, an investigation is underway, the TV channel reported.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it is in contact with the competent authorities of Turkey, representatives of the Agency for Ritual Services and provides consular assistance in the preparation of the necessary documents for the repatriation of the body of the deceased Russian citizen to his homeland.
RBC sent requests to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkey and Fethiye police with a request to provide official information and comment.
