At the Komsomolskaya mine in Komi, a plan to eliminate the accident was put into effect. At the time of the incident, dozens of miners were in the mine, all were evacuated, there were no injuries, the press service of the Vorkuta Coal company reported.

On October 7, 2026 at 22:43 at the Komsomolskaya mine, a plan to eliminate the accident was put into effect. At this point, there were 41 workers in the mine, all brought to the surface, no injuries, the company said in a statement.

The reasons for what happened are determined by the commission.

On October 3, in Severouralsk, Sverdlovsk region, a criminal case was opened after the death of a worker as a result of a local collapse of rock at the mine.
