Experts conducted almost 5 thousand laboratory tests and found no dangerous pathogens, said the Governor of the region Igor Kobzev

This was announced by the Governor of the region Igor Kobzev on his channel in “Max”.
According to him, “the complex of preventive measures has been fully completed in the region.” Specialists of Rospotrebnadzor and the expert commission confirmed that there were no emergency situations when working with dangerous microorganisms at the institute. The sick employee was vaccinated and immune to the infections she worked with.
“Medical follow-up of all contacts has also been completed. Violations of the state of health associated with infectious pathology have not been revealed, the governor said.
“Under the conditions of information pressure, the specialists thoroughly examined the situation. It was a test, but we passed it well. Quarantine's off. We work in the usual mode, he said in the published video.
In total, specialists conducted almost 5 thousand laboratory tests. In none of the samples of dangerous pathogenic microorganisms were found. Kobzev stressed that the sanitary and epidemiological situation in Irkutsk and Shelekhov remains calm. According to him, the World Health Organization (WHO) also confirmed the absence of risks to public health.
Earlier, on October 8, Rospotrebnadzor denied reports of a second case in the Irkutsk region. The department said that information about the infection of a person who had contact with an employee of the anti-plague institute is not true.
In early October, an extraordinary meeting of the regional sanitary and anti-epidemic commission was held in the Irkutsk region together with the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova. According to the governor Igor Kobzev, the meeting was convened because of information about suspicion “in case of a disease by a resident of the region with a particularly dangerous infection.” What kind of infection we are talking about, the head of the region did not specify.
As Rospotrebnadzor later reported, in the Irkutsk region, as well as Irkutsk and Shelekhov, a special set of measures was organized in connection with the case of an employee of the Irkutsk Antiplague Institute of Siberia and the Far East. She was diagnosed with pneumonia of unknown etiology.
The Kremlin said that Russia informed the WHO about the situation in the Irkutsk region “in accordance with existing practice.”.
