In Moscow at the house 17 on Nikitsky Boulevard opened a memorial plaque in honor of the People's Artist of the USSR Evgeny Evstigneev, reports the Agency "Moscow".
The memorial plaque was created by sculptor Alexander Sviyazov. According to him, he had to redo portraits of Evstigneev several times, “because I had to look for this look, image, and immediately there is one chance to portray this portrait, the second will not.”.
The opening of the board is timed to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the artist. Evstigneev was one of the founders of the "Contemporary", where he worked until 1971, until he left for the Moscow Art Theater after Oleg Efremov. Evstigneev starred in the films “Welcome, or Forbidden Entry”, “Beware of the Car”, “Heart of a Dog” and the series “Seventeen Moments of Spring”.
